From Vermont,
with a love of coffee.
Green Mountain Coffee Roasters began in 1981 as a small café in Waitsfield, Vermont, according to the Vermont Economic Development Authority’s company history. Its early local business grew into a wider coffee operation.

A local beginning, a wider reach
In 1993, the company went public and made an early investment in Keurig. Its later expansion brought the coffee business and single-serve brewing more closely together. The brand’s current range includes familiar blends, flavored coffees and different roast levels.
The Vermont roots explain the name and part of the brand’s identity. They do not mean coffee beans are grown in Vermont. Coffee-growing origins, blend composition and where a company began are different parts of the story.
What that means for your cup
Today you can choose a bright Breakfast Blend, explore medium roasts such as Colombia Select and Vermont Country Blend, or move toward Dark Magic and Horizon Blend. Hazelnut, French Vanilla and Caramel Vanilla Cream offer a different kind of variety.
We bring those choices together with exact pack sizes and practical brewing guidance, so you can find a coffee that fits your own routine.
